Start from what you can see rather than from what the plant is called. Most houseplant trouble announces itself in the same few ways, and the useful question is rarely “what is wrong” in the abstract. It is “which of these three, and what would tell them apart?”
Overwatering and underwatering are the clearest example: the leaves can look nearly identical, and what separates them is how the symptom moved over the last week or two. So every article here carries a timeline alongside the causes, because a single photograph almost never settles it.
